New Orleans Convention Center after Katrina
New Orleans Convention Center after Katrina
These photos were taken in New Orleans after Katrina, on disposable Radio Shack Cameras. I am a trained darkroom photographer, but Brian is not. Some of this is the devastation, but most are images of life in and around section "I" of the New Orleans Convention Center between Monday and Saturday when food, water and help arrived. All photos Copyright 2005 Jeffrey J Rusnack & Brian Corey

In my haste to find information about someone I'm worried about, I failed to acknowledge your important work in taking these pictures and posting this information on the web for others to see. Those of us sitting on the outside watching this shit go down are sickened and saddened and can only send money in hopes that it will go to proper use and not in someone's pocket. I wish, hope and pray for your well-being and I know that it could be me in your place if that storm hit here. Please know that your plight is the topic of conversation several times a day, even here in New England. Best to you!
